Challenge
The existing website featured an old design, was not cohesively integrated with its content management system, did not empower its marketing efforts, and was not accessible to all users.
Proposal
- Work to develop a brand new content model and strategy.
- Develop a new UI/UX based on a modular design methodology.
- Integrate modular designs into WordPress utilizing a proprietary modular editor.
- Conduct manual accessibility testing and remediate found issues.
About OneTen
OneTen is an organization dedicated to promoting skills-first employment opportunities for Black Americans. Their mission is to create one million jobs for Black talent over the next ten years by connecting employers with individuals who have the necessary skills but may not have a traditional four-year degree.
OneTen partners with a network of companies and talent developers to build pathways for career advancement, focusing on the value of skills and experience over formal education. They aim to foster economic opportunities and reduce racial inequities in the workforce.

As a project manager at our agency, I had the exhilarating task of guiding the OneTen.org website redesign from conception to launch. From the initial brainstorming sessions, through meticulous design iterations, to seamless development and the final WordPress CMS implementation, we ensured every element was aligned with OneTen's mission. It was a journey of collaboration, creativity, and innovation, culminating in a successful launch that we're all proud of.
