A custom CMS gives National Storage Affiliates full control over content management, tailored specifically to their complex portfolio needs. This scalable solution ensures seamless updates and smooth integration with third-party systems, empowering them to manage their site efficiently as they grow.
The client's previous CMS was built on a codebase that was no longer being supported. As a result, maintenance was challenging, with site reliability decreasing, leading to issues with availability. Third-party integrations were quickly changing and required updating, made more difficult by the old codebase. The system needed to be rebuilt, while the existing platform continued operating until a changeover was possible.
NPG took over ongoing maintenance of the existing infrastructure. We addressed some quick development issues and introduced 24/7/365 monitoring with emergency response. NPG was able to increase uptime to over 99.99%. Concurrently, we began to rearchitect the infrastructure and framework that served as the foundation of the website. Ultimately, we deployed a new custom CMS build on top of the Laravel Framework with our own custom UI/UX. We then developed new integrations with property management systems such as SiteLink, Yardi, and Breeze and further iterated the platform post-deployment.
NSA operated multiple storage brands across most geographies of the United States. Each brand carried its own design and UI/UX requirements. The end goal of this engagement was to develop multiple domains on a single codebase, enabling easier maintenance and higher reliability. In addition, the websites were reliant on third-party property management systems, which were integrated via API connectivity with multiple redundancies.
